Contemporary Softness
Corona Del Mar
This client requested a soft, contemporary kitchen instead of a Shaker style.
We used a softened edge, flat-paneled, lacquer-door style in white to give the project a sleek look. The kitchen is now accompanied by marble countertops and a solid-slab marble backsplash to add to the chic, sophisticated look.
By removing one wall dividing the living & dining areas, we could adjoin them to the kitchen space more effectively. As a result, we were able to give her the great-room lifestyle for entertaining in an open space accommodation.
The island welcomes visitors to sit and relax while conversing with the cooks and enjoying a beverage. The island also works as a transition counter space for the fridge on the opposite wall. It allows for more preparation room in the kitchen in the busiest work areas, primarily the main sink and range.
The under cabinet lighting brings light to the counters where most needed. In contrast, the toe space lighting adds accent illumination for a fun addition and unique aesthetic.
Relaxed, functional, and beautiful.
