This hip, young couple loves to cook. Their kitchen is a modern vibe of Shaker with a broader style and rail on the cabinet doors, almost transitioning to an arts and crafts contemporary aesthetic.

These clients wanted to add some color to their kitchen, so they chose a “Sea Haze” paint color for their island.

The fun, contemporary-shape tile backsplash and the accents of the modern brass lighting provide this kitchen its unique style. We removed the walls dividing the living & dining rooms to create an excellent space for entertaining and moved the dining room to a recreation area.

The island is functional with a combo micro/convection oven and seating so guests can be part of the preparations. Solid white quartz on the perimeter counters and more dominant pattern quartz on the island enrich the island’s presence.
